Specifies basic safety and essential performance requirements for electrocardiographs for the production of ECG reports for diagnostic purposes. This particular standard does not include the part of electrocardiographs that provide vector loops or ambulatory electrocardiographic equipment covered by IEC 60601-2-47 and cardiac monitors covered by IEC 60601-2-27.
