This standard specifies requirements for retaining rings for shafts of normal type and heavy type.*This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 067-00-09 AA "Verbindungselemente ohne Gewinde" ("Fasteners without thread") at the Fasteners Standards Committee (FMV). This standard specifies requirements for retaining rings for shafts and the corresponding grooves. Retaining rings are intended to fix components (for example, rolling bearings) on shafts and are suitable to transfer axial forces.
