The document is based on the mandate M/245 on the elaboration of standards covering minimum requirement specifications including test methods for fatty acid methylester, as fuel for diesel engines and space heating. The standardisation work has been allocated to CEN/TC 19 (specifications) and CEN/TC 307 (methods of analysis). Part 3 specifies a method for the determination of free and total glycerol and mono-, di- and tri-glyceride content of fatty acid methylesters.
