Glass in building - Determination of luminous and solar characteristics of glazing; German version EN 410:2011

This European Standard specifies methods of determining the luminous and solar characteristics of glazing in buildings. These characteristic can serve as a basis for lighting, heating and cooling calculations of rooms and permit comparison between different types of glazing. This European Standard applies both to conventional glazing and to absorbing or reflecting solar-control glazing, used as vertical or horizontal glazed apertures. The appropriate formulae for single, double and triple glazing are given. Compared with DIN EN 410:1998 the following changes have been performed among others. It were added a new clause 5.7 on an shading coefficient SC and two new annexes, Annex B (normative) "Procedure for calculation of the spectral characteristics of laminated glass" and Annex C (informative) "Procedure for calculation of the spectral characteristics of screen printed glass". Furthermore have been revised the values of Table 3 on Normalized relative spectral distribution of the UV part of the global solar radiation multiplied by the wavelength interval.
