Sampling procedures for inspection by variables - Part 1: Specification for single sampling plans indexed by acceptance quality limit (AQL) for lot-by-lot inspection for a single quality characteristic and a single AQL (ISO 3951-1:2005); Text in German and English (Foreign Standard)
The standard describes a sampling system which gives the supplier the guanrantee that lots having a quality level not worse than the AQL reach a high probability of acceptance. For the evaluation of quality the values of quantitative characteristics (measurement values) are utilized.
