ONORM EN ISO 20345:2022
Personal protective equipment - Safety footwear (ISO 20345:2021)
This document sets basic requirements and (optional) additional requirements for safety shoes for general purposes. This includes, for example, mechanical risks, the inhibition of slips, thermal risks and ergonomic characteristics. It also specifies requirements for safety shoes with covered insoles, covered safety shoes or individually manufactured covered safety shoes. This standard does not deal with the property of high visibility due to the interaction with the clothing (e.g. the shoes covering pants) and the workplace conditions (e.g. dirt, mud). Special risks are treated in additional, related standards (e.g. shoes for the fire brigade, electrically insulating shoes, protective shoes against injuries from chainsaws, shoes to protect against chemicals, shoes to protect liquid metal splashes, protective shoes for motorcyclists).
