Phosphate Treatment Paint Base ( Reaffirmed: Apr 2006 )

This specification covers the engineering requirements for producing a phosphate coating on ferrous alloys and the properties of the coating. This process has been used typically to produce a coating which will ensure satisfactory paint adherence, but usage is not limited to such applications.
