This specification defines the procedures and requirements for fusion welding titanium and titanium alloys and the properties of such weldments. Primarily for high-quality, fusion welding of titanium and titanium alloy components for aerospace applications. The procedure covered by this specification uses gas-tungsten-arc-welding (GTAW), gas-metal-arc-welding (GMAW), and plasma-arc-welding (PAW).
